NOTE:
It is a requirement of the Regulations governing the granting of Leave (Regulation 5 in the Calendar)
that a member of staff shall submit a report to the Academic Leave Committee, via the Head of
Department, within four weeks of the end of the period of absence detailing the use made of the
Leave. The report should be submitted to the Academic Processes team in Human Resources
(academicprocesses@warwick.ac.uk) via the Head of Department for consideration by the Academic
Leave Committee.
Further applications for Leave from the Department will not be considered until all outstanding reports
have been submitted.
The report should provide a detailed description of activities undertaken during the period of Leave
and include full details of publications and other output arising from the Leave. As a guide, reports
should be up to 500 words in length and should state the objectives of the Leave proposed in the
original application and the extent to which these have been achieved. Where relevant, the report
should indicate, and explain the reasons for, any significant deviation from the application for Leave
unless changes to the application have already been approved by the Academic Leave Committee.
