Multicultural and Diversity Award
The annual Multicultural and Diversity Award will be presented to an employee of College of
the Redwoods (faculty, staff, or administrator) whose dedication and contribution to
multiculturalism and diversity at the college has made the community, district-wide, a more
welcoming and cohesive environment. The award recognizes an individual who demonstrates
leadership in multiculturalism and diversity through campus programs and/or focuses increased
awareness and communication of diversity ideals throughout the college district. The successful
candidate will have demonstrated a commitment to assisting in the development of strategies to
create campus environments that promote inclusiveness as an institution and community value
and in the promotion of ideas that embrace diversity as a valuable resource to be preserved and
extended.
The award recipient will be announced at convocation and will receive a commemorative plaque.
Recognition of each award recipient will become part of a permanent display.
Any faculty, staff, student or administrator is encouraged to nominate any employee of College
of the Redwoods.
