1. Convocation Planning for Friday morning, August 24
 Based on discussion at the AOC meeting, convocation schedule has changed as follows:
Wednesday will be an overview of assessment, data sets, the principles of mapping, how
to do a 2-year cycle, then program review overview. On Friday, the primary work is to
complete mapping. Must have definite work product out of Friday sessions.
Organization: Mapping will involve all degrees/cert (handout)
 Core groups will work on their specific degrees.
 Disciplines will be grouped for quicker completion: i.e. English, Math, will meet
together; all Science grouped together for completion, Social Science will be together.
Humanities will work together. AJ, Nursing and LVN, and Dental will be grouped
individually.
 As core groups complete, the mapping forms will rotate to another area. We must devise
a sequence of rotation. AOA’s can do “running”. Specific people will be determined to
be responsible for turning in a completed document. See the draft list of “leaders”
following notes.
 A contingency of this process will be finding holes in mapping allowing immediate
curriculum revisions. A record needs to be kept of what adjustments might be made
during these discussions.
 The plan is to show completed mapping and what was learned at convocation.
 Instruction recommend choosing five SLOs distributed equally among all disciplines
prominent in the degree.
 Keith, Erik and Angelina can work together to decide the breakdown for the overview
presentation.
 It was discussed the Curriculum Committee should have a meeting speaking directly to
what mapping is leading to.
