Members Present: Michelle Haggerty, Steve Jackson, Garth Johnson, Paul Kinsey,
Karen Reiss.
Members Absent: Utpal Goswami.
Also Present: Connie Carlson
1. Chair Michelle Haggerty called the meeting to order at 9:12..
2. Michelle welcomed committee members, and she called for public comments: no
public comments were offered.
3. Approve the December 14 Meeting Minutes: On motion by Paul Kinsey, seconded
by Garth Johnson, the minutes were approved as written.
4.
Action Items
4.1 Review and Make Recommendations on Emergency Equivalency Applications:

Paul Day – Environmental Science (DN): The committee agreed that the
application needs to be for the proper subject (Interdisciplinary Studies) and
needs to be reviewed by the subject matter expert (SME) before it is
considered for equivalency. Michelle will contact the area coordinator.

Skip Hunter – Ethnic Studies (DN): The committee agreed that the
applicant meets the minimum qualifications for the discipline through Social
Sciences.
4.2 Review and Make Recommendations on Equivalency to the Minimum
Qualifications Applications: None
4.3 Review and Make Recommendations on Minimum Qualifications Applications:

Tyler Belarde - Mathematics: The committee agreed that the applicant meets
the minimum qualifications for the discipline.

Diana Dominguez – Mathematics (MC): The committee agreed that the
applicant meets the minimum qualifications for the discipline.

Kimberly Peterson - Mathematics: The committee agreed that the applicant
meets the minimum qualifications for the discipline.

Megan Rocha – Ethic Studies – Native American Studies (KT): The
committee agreed that the applicant meets the minimum qualifications for the
discipline.

Ken Tinkham - Coaching: The committee agreed that the applicant meets the
minimum qualifications for the discipline.

Amanda Waters – Administration of Justice: The committee agreed that the
applicant meets the minimum qualifications for the discipline.

David Watkins – Forestry/Natural Resources: The committee agreed that the
applicant meets the minimum qualifications for the discipline.
5. Announcements/Open Forum: No announcements , Steve Jackson requested that an
agenda item be added to the next meeting regarding properly filled out paperwork.
6. Adjournment: On motion by Steve Jackson, seconded by Paul Kinsey, the meeting
was adjourned at 9:42.
