Bob reported that the BPC has generated a preliminary list, and they are now in the information gathering phase that will inform the final prioritized ranking. The BPC is also considering the needs addendums submitted through Program Review, and Bob said that overall he feels that faculty have been able to provide good input into the current budget planning process. 4.2 AP 4024 Instructional Exigency Plan Due to Adverse Budget Environment: Mark informed the committee that he compiled the Senate’s feedback on the proposed AP, and his sense is that it doesn’t appear that there is clear support for the draft as it is currently written. Mark discussed possible strategies for addressing the draft and how to forward the Senate’s feedback to College Council. Committee members agreed that the proposed AP 4024 should be an action item on the November 4 Senate agenda, and the resulting vote will be forwarded to College Council as the Senate’s position on the draft. If the vote results in nonsupport of the draft, Mark and Mike will ask College Council to not approve the proposal. 4.3 November 4 Senate Agenda Draft: The committee reviewed and discussed the November 4 Senate agenda draft and made suggested revisions.
