Topic: Part I: Identifying Course Outcomes that link to Student Development Outcomes.
Initial brainstorming session to look at instructional course outcomes that may link to student development outcomes and discuss potential
ways to utilize data for both current and future assessment.
Attended: Ruth Moon, Cheryl Tucker
Discussed usefulness of mind mapping for brainstorming at this and other sessions.
We looked at some of the degree/cert/program outcomes (instructional) that are related to student development as well as course outcomes.

Discussed that we should start by first relating to institutional level and then narrow to the specific. There has been attention in the past on
academic literacy to information literacy – may be something to develop further as a shared outcome.
For flex, our intent is to have more shared outcomes - “why should we have to measure the same thing twice”
- Pick 3 issues that resonate with teaching faculty that they could be enthusiastic about participating in
- Examples of areas/outcomes of prog/course interact with or connect with or balance with our programs and services
