GENERAL BACKGROUND:
I joined Biology department at Sultan Qaboos University in 1998 as a Biology Lab Technician. I
worked as Lab Superintendent for some periods.

Performs routine laboratory preparations ( i.e. general, environmental and biotechnology)
Performs periodic microscopic maintenance.
Receives checks and distributes different orders for the department.
Prepares for fields and supervises the students during the field work.
Sample collection for different labs.
Tests new and improved laboratory methods and procedures.
Trains or supervises trainee from other collages and new staff.
Participates in planning services for the benefit of the department.
Enforces safety procedures and consults with other supervisors and technical staff about
these issues.
Contributions with researchers to carry out different projects.
Operations of different equipment’s related to biology labs.
Plans work load distribution and help in making schedules.
Good experience in operating and simple maintenance of HPLC.
Performs related duties as requested.
