The main focus is on the synthesis and characterization of metal complexes with biologically relevant ligands. Spectroscopic, and crystallographic characterization is carried out with facilities both within Sultan Qaboos University and through international collaborations. Teaching Interest My teaching experience includes descriptive inorganic chemistry, coordination chemistry and general chemistry. I have been particularly active at coordinating and upgrading the teaching of the general chemistry. Administrative duties The office of the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Studies plays a central role in facilitating student success and enhancing the quality of their learning by providing services that support their academic and professional needs. My current role as the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Studies is to oversee new student admissions and orientation, college-level advising, curriculum development, time-tabling of college courses, choice major selection, requirements for a choice of minor, review of degree programs, and student grades/grade appeals.
