Research interest
My research specialization/expertise is medicinal chemistry (Design, synthesis, and testing of organic
compounds)/natural products, and I have been engaged in:

Bioassay-guided isolation and characterization of biologically active natural products (antiinfective, anti-cancer, anti-oxidant, crop protection agents and fragrant disinfectants) from plants.

Design, synthesis, testing and evaluation of small chemical entities derived from natural products
containing suitable pharmacophores for development as anti-sickling, anti-inflammatory and
anticonvulsant and crop protection agents

Bioassay-guided isolation and characterization of anti-infective from microorganisms gathered
from unusual environments.
