Two one-year undergraduate placements available from June 2016 at the Greater Birmingham and West Midlands Brussels Office Are you looking to gain experience in the dynamic world of EU affairs? We are looking for two undergraduate students for a one-year placement in the Greater Birmingham and West Midland’s prestigious office in Brussels from June 2016 to June 2017 for the posts of: EU Policy Assistant and EU Communications & Marketing Assistant. The Greater Birmingham and West Midlands Brussels Office works in partnership with key organisations from local government, business and higher education in the West Midlands region. It helps to raise their profiles in Europe and gain early intelligence of EU policy and funding. Further information can be found on our website. Joint tasks for the two roles Support the office’s partnership working with key organisations from the West Midlands. Support in monitoring, attending meetings and reporting on specific EU policy areas, such as innovation, regional development and environment policy. Responding to enquiries from partners and other organisations. Assistance in organising visits, meetings and other events. Contribution to regular publications and promotional material. Regular input to the website, newsletters, etc. Support in maintaining contact and information databases. Providing assistance to ensure the smooth running of the Brussels Office and Conference Centre (welcoming visitors, providing logistical support, etc.).
