SGA Bill 4-14-S
A bill to impeach Senator Cecily Rivers
Whereas: Cecily Rivers was elected to the Student Government Association in representation for the College of Business;
Whereas: Senator Rivers has failed to attend a Senate meeting this semester and has provided no excuses for these absences;
Whereas : The Executive Vice President has contacted the Senator through multiple avenues and has received no response;
Whereas: Article V, Section 2: F of the Constitution states that a Senator may not have more than two consecutive absences or more than three, total, with fault found as grounds for impeachment.
THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE 76 th CONGRESS OF THE STUDENT
GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY THAT:
Section 1: Senator Rivers shall be impeached and stripped of the title of Senator and all responsibilities, privileges, and affiliations thereof.
Section 2 : Upon favorable passage this will go into effect immediately.
