COURSE DESCRIPTION ENGLISH COURSE DESCRIPTION ARABIC COURSE DESCRIPTION The course intends to help students realizing the important role that the Integrated System (IS) will play in planning and implementing services of libraries. It is necessary, though, to introduce students to know more about the system’s concepts and requirements, and to focus on the development phases of the IS. 3. COURSE AIM The main objective is to provide students with the latest trends in the applications of the integrated systems. 4. COURSE OBJECTIVES 1. Define concepts related to the IS such as data, information, systems, information systems, integration, and IS 2. Describe the general requirements and the structure of the IS. 3. Define the basic development phases of the IS including: a. Initiation b. Feasibility Report c. System Analysis d. System Design e. System Build f. System Implementation g. Review and Maintenance 4. Be aware of the Sources and requirements of the IS 5. Practice the integrated processes of the IS through the SQU main library system (Symphony) and through Afaq Almarefah program. 2 5.
