1. Minutes from the November 1, 2012 meeting were unanimously approved.
2. Program and Course Modifications
A. School of Liberal Arts
I.
Communication
a. Course addition. The request to add COMM 4901 was approved unanimously.
b. Program Modification.The request to add COMM 4901 (Capstone) as a required
course was approved unanimously.
II.
History and Government
a. Course modification. The request to change title and course description for
HIST 3363 was approved unanimously.
b. Course addition. The request to add PS 4683, Capstone, was approved
unanimously.
c. Program modification. The request to add PS 4683 as a requirement for Political
Science was approved unanimously.
B. Academic Enrichment
I.
Honors
The requests to add HON 1001 and 1102 were approved unanimously.
C. School of Science and Technology
I.
Mathematical Sciences
a. Course additions. The requests to add MATH 4782 and 4792, Capstone I and II,
were approved unanimously.
b. Program modification. The request to add a Capstone requirement was
approved unanimously.
II.
Computing and Technology
a. Course additions. The requests to add MIS 4433, MM 3031, MM 3041, MM
3051, MM 3063, MM 3073, TECH 4443 were approved unanimously.
b. Course modification. The request to modify TECH 4003-6 was approved
unanimously.
c. Course deletions. The requests to delete TECH 3003, 4023, 4153 were approved
unanimously.
d. Program modification for Multimedia Design. The Committee did not approve
the request for program modification. The request was returned to the
department for further revision of the language regarding program “electives.”
e. Program modification for Technology. The requests for program modification
were approved unanimously.
III.
Biological Sciences
a. Course modification. The request to modify BIO 3044 was tabled because it had
not yet been submitted and voted on by the Teacher Education Council.
b. Program modification for Medical Technology. The request to reduce elective
hours, increase required core hours, add Capstone and UNIV 1001 requirements
was approved unanimously.
D. School of Education and Behavioral Sciences
I.
Education
The requests to modify ECE 4653, EDUC 4313, EDUC 4653 were approved
unanimously.
II.
Health and Physical Education
The request to modify HPET 3373 was approved unanimously.
