Agenda Items
1. Consideration of minutes from February 28, 2011 meeting: Lynda Robinson moved to approve
the minutes. Kelly McClure seconded. The motion carried.
2. Consideration of requests:
a. Psychology and Human Ecology
i.
New BS in Child and Family Science
The program request was tabled until April 25th, pending questions about degree
checksheet.
ii.
Course Additions
New courses associated with the B.S. in Child and Family Science were presented for
approval: ECEC 4333, PSY 3363, PSY 3373, FAMS 4333, FAMS 4702. Lynda Robinson
moved to recommend approval of the course additions. Marie-Ginnette Baillargeon
seconded. The motion carried.
iii.
Course Modifications
ECEC 2233 and ECEC 2223 were presented for changes in level and course number.
Kelly McClure moved to recommend approval of the modifications. Lynda Robinson
seconded. The motion carried.
b. History
i.
Course Modifications
Changes to prerequisites and some title changes were proposed for several History
classes. Kelly McClure moved to table consideration pending clarification. Lynda
Robinson seconded. The motion carried.
ii.
Program Modifications
1. Modify Program 162
It was proposed that PS 3721-3 be moved from eligibility for the Politics and
Behavior distribution list. Bob Bausch moved to recommend approval. Greg
Herring seconded. The motion carried.
2. Modify Humanity Minor
It was proposed that HUM 2513 be dropped from the Humanity Minor list. Kelly
McClure moved to recommend approval. Greg Herring seconded. The motion
carried.
3. Delete Minors in Ethnic Studies and Philosophy
It was proposed that the minors in Ethnic Studies and philosophy be deleted.
Lynda Robinson moved to recommend approval. Marie-Ginnette Baillargeon
seconded. The motion carried.
c. Miscellaneous Course Modifications
Music
Course modifications were proposed for MUSC 2301, 3351-3, and 4351-3. 3351-3 and 43513 were sent back for clarification. Greg Herring moved to approve changes to MUSC 2301.
Lynda Robinson seconded. The motion carried.
Health and Physical Education
HLTH 3243 was presented for modifications to the prerequisite. . Kelly McClure moved to
recommend approval. Ali Soylu seconded. The motion carried.
Psychology
Modification to PSY 2323 was tabled until more information is available.
