Regular Meeting

The committee meeting for AY 2000-20001 was called to order at 3:30 p.rn. in the Faculty
Chambers (Room 104) of the Student Union.
Old Business:
1.0 The meeting minutes of the June 27th meeting were amended to correct spelling of
Rafik Elias and Zoe DuRant's name. Titles were added to read ACCTG 4483 (Accounting
Internship) and BUS 4483 (Business Internship).
New Business:
1.0 Ted Snider requested that the minutes be email to the committee.
2.0 Office elections were held. Ted Snider voted Mary Penick to remain chair and Margie
McMahan second the motion. All were in favor. Ken Solstad voted Teresd Ayres as
secretary and Becky Pazoureck second the motion. All were in favor. The motion was
Passed.
3.0 Abbas Johari suggested he would do a web page for this committee. All were in
favor. The motion Passed.
4.0 Mter some discussion on a request for program modification from the Department of
Business, the proposal was tabled pending additions of prerequisites to MGMT 3213
(Management Information Systems) which has also been propose to replace CIS 1013
(Introduction to Computer Information Systems) as a required business core course for the
Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees. Margie
McMahan motion to sent the proposal back in light of the discussion of the prerequisites
and Teresa Ayres second it. The motion Passed.
4.0 Dr.. Robert Bausch, Assistant Professor from the Department of Politics, Sociology
and Criminal Justice, was present to propose a requirement change within the department
Mter some discussion Mary Penick asked about the fact of no signatures on the document.
It was deem to table the proposal until the correct form with signatures be presented.
Motion was moved by Ted Snider and second by Ken Solstad. All were in favor. The
motion Passed.
5.0 The next meeting will be September 7th at 3:30 p.rn. in the Faculty Chambers. The
meeting adjourned at 4: 10 p.m.
