Budget process update for 2011 – 2012: We still have a long way to go before a budget allocation for Cameron University for next year is established. In Governor Fallin’s State of the State Address, she mentioned a budget reduction request of 3% for Higher Education. 2. Persistence and Graduation Rate Benchmarks by program with a call for action plans to meet those benchmarks will be distributed on February 15, 2011 by email from Vice President McArthur. Underlying data will be provided in subsequent messages from Director of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Accountability Karla Oty. The action plans are due through the academic deans to Vice President McArthur by Tuesday, March 8, 2011. 3. Senior Enrollment Day and Gold Rush – New Format With the opening of the Academic Advising Center (AAC), we will modify the format and frequency of the Senior Enrollment Day and Gold Rush events. There will be more events with fewer students at each event so that we may provide at least an hour of advising between a prospective student and a faculty member working through the Academic Advising Center. Senior Enrollment Days Friday, March 25; Saturday, March 26; Friday, April 1; Saturday, April 2; Friday, April 8; and Saturday, April 9 Gold Rush Days April 28, 29, 30; May 19, 20, 21; June 23, 24, 25; July 21, 22, 23; and August 10, 11, 12 General Event Format Duration: One-half day in a morning session or an afternoon session for students. A morning and afternoon session will be held each day. Number: Limited to 20 students per session Itinerary: Registration Welcome Break into two groups Advising (Group 1) or Aggie Ambassadors (Group 2) Advising (Group 2) or Aggie Ambassadors (Group 1) There will also be a large event for all new students at the start of the Fall 2011 semester.
