Clean Address looks really good and would be helpful. HR needs the last four digits of the zip for PeopleSoft and Clean Address would populate. It would be nice to have this early in conversion and run it so we could go ahead and clean up the addresses on legacy now. 1. Users are working on cleanup. IT will report on progress at next meeting. 2. Dawne will be emailing lists to Linda to distribute. Transcript cleanup will be an ongoing process. 3. The catalog is in uppercase. Blank birth dates need to be updated if we have HS transcript, immunization form or some other means of getting that data. 5. Check system for different spellings of same name and update. 6. Verify confidentiality codes are valid. 7. Are the ethnic codes valid? 8. Are the citizenship codes valid? 9. Are the marital codes valid? 10. Are email addresses being used in address_dtl? 11. Find differences in data between BOX, alumni, payroll, and HR in the areas of birth date, death date, ethnicity, names, address, phone numbers, and any other fields in which data will be converted from multiple systems. Kurt is working on differences between BOX and Payroll birthdates. 5. A count by city and zip for BOX would be massive. This is an area that Clean Address could help in. 6. In mapping we said if there were any Y’s then it would be moved over as Y. These codes are used differently for campus directory. Kelly will see if there is a place for the print and campus indicator. Need to make sure if alumni overwrites BOX that it’s not changed. 7. Kurt is comparing BOX and payroll for differences. . 8. Regarding death date, this should be converted for everyone except current employees. Other than what is already scheduled, let’s postpone any demos or non-necessary meetings until after December. Page 3 Topics Training/Mapping Sessions Database for Extracts Cameron University Banner Project Meeting Agenda and Notes Discussion, Information Kurt asked Laurene about faculty tenure and is waiting on her to respond. The student prototype still doesn’t have all of the codes we need for the extracts. Roll from sunfire IFAS and IRISDB to sunray IFAS and IRISDB the day before we start extracts. Greg will make a copy of this and save it so that we can restore it back to sunray at any time and have the same data that was used with conversion. Table Extracts OU Nursing Ken’s Computer Mousepads Setting her up on myCU so that she can view financial aid info. Still having ODBC issues even though she closed down the OU VPN. Ken Gillian’s new computer still hasn’t been delivered to him. No update. November 10, 2008 Action Taken, Decisions, Recommendations, Time Line The library computers do not face the slide screen. Sherry will see if that is something that can be modified. Go ahead and copy the databases now so we can have fresh data when writing our scripts. Discussed copying the directory tree minus client_specific and decided to delay this at this time. Greg will look into fixing the output directories on sunray. Be sure to add all of the tables that need extracted to the list at W:\workgrps\its_share\something so we can see what needs to be done and who is working on each one. Sherry will check with Debbie and see if this can be moved to the top of the helpdesk requests and get this finished.
