FINLAND: CROSS-CULTURAL PERSPECTIVES ON HUMAN DEVELOPMENT Spring 2016 Tour Dates: March 10-19, 2016 This interdisciplinary course open to all majors is designed to provide students with an overview of human development (children, adolescents and adults) across the lifespan through a cross-cultural comparison between the United States and Finland. Our focus will be on comparative developmental psychology in children, adolescents, and adults with areas of emphasis in behavior, language, thought, emotions, and education. During our time in Finland, we will have many opportunities to directly examine and compare human development across a number of these dimensions in settings that range from the formal to the informal (e.g., schools to sporting events).
