A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 is required for entry into the Teacher Education Program, entry into clinical practice, exit from clinical practice and program completion. A minimum GPA of 2.50 is also required in the major or subject area discipline and in the professional core. The major GPA represents the courses from the discipline area, and the professional GPA is calculated from all of the courses in the professional core noted by an education (ED) prefix. Related to content knowledge, the average major GPA is significantly and consistently above 2.50 indicating a strength across all discipline areas.
