ECED 5303 Piagetian Tasks Piagetian Tasks Candidates are to choose one or two children ages 0 - 8, to perform a set of Piagetian Tasks. It is acceptable to use only one child, however it is preferable to have the child perform all tasks. (Do not measure one child on conservation, another on object permanence, and etc.) Candidates will create a performance task for each Piagetian concept: Egocentrism Class Inclusion Object Permanence Conservation Candidates will submit a 4-5 page summary that outlines the following: A brief explanation of the Piagetian stages A detailed explanation of the performance tasks created and the Piagetian task they are designed to measure A summary of their findings in light of their understanding of Piagetian stages Photographs which depict the candidate and/or child engaged in the tasks (this does count in the 4-5 page summary). Photographs must be added to a word processing document, NOT taped to a page. Summaries must be typed or word processed using the standards outlined in the course syllabus. Due date 4/14/08.
