A. Math Club Meeting #5: Movie Night!
When: Wednesday November 12, 7-9 pm
Where: Laurel Hall Movie Theater (1st floor of Laurel)
Food: Pizza and movie munchies

1) We will be watching "Good Will Hunting" and will be starting the movie at
7:00 pm sharp. If you would like to grab some pizza, please plan on coming
earlier (around 6:45) so you can eat before sitting down to watch the movie.
2) Our trip to Liberty Science center is quickly approaching. Below is all of the
details concerning the trip which you need to read if you are planning on going
with us. We hope you are!
Student attendance at meetings is what's needed most for making the club
vibrant and full of ideas and activities. So come out, math and non-math majors
welcome!

When: Saturday, November 22, 2008.
Departure: 7:30 AM from the Visitor's Circle. Transportation: van or train.
Arrival: 5:30 PM or 6:40 PM to the Visitors' Circle.
Tickets: On sale at Roadrunner Central (located on the 2nd floor of Student Center) for $5 from
November 7th to November 19th. (Includes transportation and tickets to the museum).
Details:
1. Activities. Free time at the numerous museum's exhibits. 3-D Movie "Fly me to the Moon".
(Both included in the ticket you purchased at Roadrunner Central)
-------------------------------2. Transportation. There will be a 15-passenger van leaving from Visitors' Circle at 7:30AM
directly to the Liberty Science Center. The same van with the same passengers will leave the
Liberty Science Center at 4:30 PM from the spot where it dropped its passengers off in the
morning. It will arrive to RCNJ's Visitors' Circle around 5:30pm.
The remaining 13 passengers will depart in two other vans to the Ramsey Rt. 17 train station.
They will take a train as a group to Liberty Science Center. It will require one train transfer in
Hoboken and a 3 minute walk from the destination train station to Liberty Science Center. The
"train group" will leave the LSC at 4:15 PM and will arrive to RCNJ's Visitors' Circle around 6:40
PM. Dr. Potocka will be traveling with the "train group" in both directions.
Anyone who requires an accommodation due to a documented disability will be able to go on the
15-passenger van directly to the museum. Otherwise, a lottery will determine who are the 15
passengers who get to go to the museum directly and who are the remaining passengers who
will travel by train.
Please arrive promptly at 7:30 AM so that paper forms can be filled out without a delay and so
that the lottery can be conducted (otherwise, the "train group" will miss their train!).
---------------------------------3. Lunch. The ticket price does not include lunch. Lunch can be purchased at Liberty Science
Center's cafe, for approximately $10, or students can bring their own lunch. There will be a place
to store your lunch during the day. We'll eat in a reserved lunch group area, whether you
purchase lunch there, or whether you bring your own.
---------------------------------------4. What to wear. An optional coat room is available for $2 at the museum. Dress relatively warm.
Flip-flops not allowed.
