For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, June 10, 2005 Cameron continues ‘Gold Rush’ enrollment days “Gold Rush,” Cameron University’s enrollment program for Fall 2005 freshmen, will continue this month on Thursday, June 23, at the University Theatre on CU’s main campus in Lawton. This will be the third “Gold Rush” day of the summer with several more remaining. During each “Gold Rush” day, incoming freshmen learn the realities of university life, including timemanagement skills, financial responsibility, and successful social and academic integration. CU’s “Aggie Ambassadors” conduct portions of the program and share their experiences in adapting to campus life. In the afternoon, students meet with their academic advisors and enroll in classes for the fall. Each “Gold Rush” day includes a special session for parents from 1-2 p.m. during which members of CU’s Enrollment Management and Student Services staff explain how the university partners with parents to assure student success. The remaining “Gold Rush” dates are Thursday, June 23; Wednesday, July 6; Wednesday, July 27; Saturday, July 30; and Thursday, Aug. 18. Registration for each session begins at 8 a.m. in the University Theatre. Reservations are required since seating is limited to 200 students per session.
