For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, May 3, 2005 Financial assistance may still be available for CU students applying for summer term Cameron University’s financial assistance office encourages students who have received federal aid during Fall 2004 or Spring 2005 semesters to contact the office to determine summer aid eligibility. Financial assistance director Caryn Pacheco said students who were enrolled part-time for either semester should still have Pell Grant eligibility for the summer semester. “If students did not borrow their full eligibility during the Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 semesters, they also may be eligible for student loans for the summer semester,” Pacheco said. “But it is imperative they initiate the process quickly to find out eligibility.” Enrollment for the summer semester continues through the month of May. However, Pacheco encouraged students desiring financial assistance for the summer term to enroll as soon as possible. Once students are enrolled, they will need to bring their enrollment schedule to CU Financial Assistance in North Shepler 301, and fill out a summer request form. The office will mail a response within one week of the request.
