His current health portfolio in health includes evaluations of the innovation landscape, quality improvement, and service transformation for clients such as the UK Department of Health and the Health Foundation. This work aims to deliver embedded evaluations, delivering relevant and timely information, communicated effectively to decision-makers, and applying the highest research standards. Before re-joining RAND Tom was Head of Impact Innovation and Evidence at Save the Children where his responsibilities included ensuring that evaluations contribute to policy and change in the challenging environment of International Development. He has over twenty years of experience in researching on and leading research projects and has worked on and led evaluation projects with the European Commission, UK Government departments, the National Audit Office, the Health Foundation in the UK and many others.
