Following several years of campaigning at both public and Government levels. Sunpowered Energy
Systems Ltd are pleased to announce that in conjunction with the DTI we have arranged for a 50% capital
grant towards the installation of solar photovoltaic systems in the domestic sector. These systems can be grid
connected, therefore any surplus electrical energy will be sold back to the national grid at a guaranteed price.
From 1st June 2003, applications for off-grid PV applications will be accepted and awarded funding. For this
sector award will be granted for systems from 0.5 Kw to 100 Kw. The funding available is likely to mirror that
available for grid-connected PV systems. Eligible costs will not include funding for batteries or control
mechanisms that integrate with existing power sources. I.e. the funding awarded will cover ; PV modules,
inverters and their installation costs only. There will be distinct terms & conditions for these awards.
Not only is our technology saving consumers money by cutting their reliance on conventional fossil fuels,
but, by reducing the polluting emissions that they create we are helping our environment for future
generations.
