The statistics contained in this report represent formal complaints received by the Office of Judicial Affairs and Mediation Services for the
time period indicated. Formal charges may have also been filed with the MTSU Police Department and/or University Housing. It is possible for a single violation to appear in both the report from Judicial Affairs and the statistics provided by MTSU Police.
* This number does not represent 5 complaints of harassing or obscene phone calls. The violator could not be identified in two of these
instances. In the two instances a violator was identified, but the violator was not a student. One of these cases is still under investigation.
Two complainants phone numbers were changed at their request to prevent further harassment (the other complainants did not want their
phone number changed).
** This number does not represent 1 alleged incident of sexual misconduct reported to the Office of Judicial Affairs and Mediation Services. In this instance, the complainant requested (in writing) that we not follow up on the situation and would not provide any information
regarding who the suspect(s) was/were.
This figure may not represent the number of cases reported to other offices on campus, including the MTSU Police Department, Housing
and Residential Life, Counseling Center or the June Anderson Women’s Center.
