CAMERON UNIVERSITY 2015-2016 TEACH Grant Application Academic Year 2015-2016 Please submit this completed application to the Office of Financial Assistance after you have seen the Federal Student Aid web page detailing the TEACH Grant Program at http://studentaid.ed.gov/PORTALSWebApp/students/english/TEACH.jsp. Recipients will commit to: 1. teach full-time; 2. in a high-need subject area; 3. for at least four years within eight years of leaving school; and 4. in schools or educational service agencies that serve students from low income families. If you fail to fulfill your service obligation or if you do not complete your program of study, the grant will be permanently converted to a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan which you will have to repay with interest charged from the date the TEACH Grant was disbursed. Be enrolled in one of the following eligible majors: Early Childhood Education Elementary Education Mathematics Education Music Education Social Studies Education English Education M.Ed.—Reading M.Ed.—Elementary Math Specialist M.Ed.—Special Education 4. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. 5. Complete a TEACH Grant counseling and sign an Agreement to Serve (ATS) each year that you receive a TEACH Grant. 6. You must commit to teach for at least four academic years within eight calendar years of completing the program of study for which you received a TEACH Grant. You must serve as a full-time teacher for a total of at least four academic years within eight years after you complete or otherwise cease to be enrolled in the program for which you received the TEACH Grant.
