MAP and DIRECTIONS
The MTSU Experiential Learning and Research Center is at
3211 Guy James Road in Lascassas. It is our farm laboratory that
houses the Dairy, beef cattle, plant nurseries and vegetable
gardens, a geothermal cooling unit for storage of our harvest, and
an apiary.
From the Student Union on MTSU Campus: Head East on MTSU
Blvd. Take the 2nd exit on the traffic circle to stay on MTSU Blvd
going East. Drive to the light and turn Left on Rutherford Blvd. Drive
0.5 mile to the next light and turn Right on Halls Hill Pike. Drive 4.6
miles E/NE on Halls Hill Pike. Turn Left on Guy James Road. Drive
1.3 miles …use caution…you will cross a one lane bridge… to the
entrance of the MTSU Experiential Learning and Research Center on
the Left.
The MTSU Horse Science Center is at 314 West Thompson Lane
in Murfreesboro. It is located next to the Tennessee Miller Coliseum
on the North side of West Thompson Lane, across from Siegel
Middle School.
From the Student Union on MTSU Campus: Head East on MTSU
Blvd. Take the 2nd exit on the traffic circle to stay on MTSU Blvd
going East. Drive to the light and turn Left on Rutherford Blvd. Drive
1.3 miles (3 stop lights) and turn Right on Pitts Lane. (Pitts is
residential...the speed limit is 35 mph.) Follow Pitts to the light,
approx. 1 mile, and turn Left on Dejarnette. Drive 1.4 miles to the
next light and turn Right on Memorial Blvd. Drive 1.5 miles to
Thompson Lane (TN-268). Turn Left on Thompson and drive 0.4
miles to the MTSU Horse Science Center and Tennessee Miller
Coliseum, on the right. Follow the driveway straight across the big
parking lot to the Horse Science Center at the far end.
From the Horse Science to the Experiential Learning and
Research Center: Turn Left on Thompson Lane out of the Horse
Science driveway. Drive 0.4 miles to the light and cross Memorial
Blvd. Keep going straight onto Compton Road (TN-268). Follow
Compton Road and stay straight through the light at Lascassas Pike
(TN-96). Approx 1 mile after crossing Lascassas Pike, Compton
Road makes a hard right and then veers back to the left. This is
Sharpsville Road. Continue for 1.3 miles and then turn Left on Halls
Hill Pike. (If you are reversing these directions, the Sharpsville
Church is at this intersection.) Drive 0.4 miles on Halls Hill Pike and
turn Left on Guy James Road. Drive 1.3 miles on Guy James …use
caution…you will cross a one lane bridge… to the entrance of the
MTSU Experiential Learning and Research Center on the Left.
