I. Minutes
A. Minutes of the March 27, 2013, meeting were approved.
II. ARC Report to Faculty Assembly
A. Chair Rainforth discussed the ARC Report to be given at the upcoming Faculty Assembly including
ongoing discussion of Policy 300-KK (posted on the ARC website).
III. Decision Item
A. ARC #992: LITR 203 Methods of Literary Study-add co-req for CRWT 102
B. ARC #993: ENST 305 Ecology, Economics, & Ethics-pre-req change, Add WI (pending minor
revision)
C. ARC #994: MSET Revised course description document
D. ARC #995: SOSC 410 Scope & Methods in Social Sciences & Humanities-add WI
E. ARC #996: INTD 201 Life at the Crossroads-add WI
F. ARC #997: SOCI 410 Sociology Capstone-add WI
G. ARC #998: PSYC 339 Adolescent Psychology Fieldwork-add WI
H. ARC #999: SOSI 307 Social Research with Computers-add WI
I. Notifications to faculty will indicate the course should be taught as WI in Fall 2013 but the
catalog wouldn’t include the designation until Spring 2014 because students are registering
today.
IV. Discussion Item
A. Implementation of WAC/WI for Fall 2013-Members briefly discussed lack of compliance with the
March 15, 2013, extended deadline for review of courses needing WI designation. ARC must
review the syllabi prior to WI being attributed to the course. The ASB BWAC (business writing)
program has not yet been received.
