Provide students with a learning environment necessary for their clinical development as a competent, entry level paramedic. Provide students the opportunity to apply leadership and decision-making skills. Provide students the opportunity to understand the administrative functions of health care managers. Promote the importance of research and provide the tools for understanding basic research and evaluation techniques. Student Learning Outcomes: 1. 2. 3. 4. Locate, read, and interpret the medical literature. Effectively communicate via oral and written means, including computer presentations and documentation in medical records. Demonstrate clinical competency including cognitive, behavioral, and psychomotor skills Utilize leadership and decision-making skills to include ethics, group dynamics, management of human behavior, team-building, and professional conduct. 5.
