A.S. or A.A. in Criminal Justice Nashville State Community College and Middle Tennessee State University DEGREE ADVANCEMENT PROGRAM ADVANCE FROM AN A.S. or A.A. INTO A BACHELOR’S DEGREE Nashville State Community College and Middle Tennessee State University Partnership MTSU and NSCC have developed a program to allow students who earn an A.A. or A.S. in Criminal Justice at NSCC to transfer all required credits earned for this degree to MTSU toward the completion of a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration. Completing the Criminal Justice A.A. or A.S. degree provides an excellent foundation and preparation for MTSU’s bachelor’s degree program. Sixty (60) credit hours may be transferred from NSCC and credited toward MTSU’s Criminal Justice Administration degree. MTSU will offer all courses required for a major in Criminal Justice Administration, with concentrations in Law Enforcement or Homeland Security, on the Southeast Campus of Nashville State Community College. Courses required for the minor and electives will be available either on the Southeast Campus, at MTSU, and/or online. MTSU will accept up to 27 credit hours from courses commonly offered in a college of business toward the B.S. in Professional Studies. This does not include ECON 2410, 2420, or QM 2610. Business courses are subject to verification. The Professional Studies degree from MTSU is part of the Regents Online Degree Program and is managed by MTSU’s University College. It is NOT a business degree. Students who take concentrations taken at NSCC requiring more than these 27 hours will take more than 120 hours to complete the Professional Studies major at MTSU. *Students should consult with their MTSU advisors to determine courses that fulfill program requirements.
