opportunity for students to examine
the effects of globalization on
classic development issues such as
agriculture, biodiversity protection,
economic development, urban
sprawl, population growth, waste
management, and water resources.
The program is designed to give
biology and related majors a
comprehensive view of tropical
diversity, community ecology, and
conservation through theory,
empirical patterns, hands-on
exposure, taxonomy of major groups,
and direct experimentation.
