FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Anna Farneski; afarnesk@ramapo.edu August 1, 2011 Ramapo College Foundation to Host Second Annual Ramapo Rumble (MAHWAH, NJ) – Get ready to rumble Saturday, September 24 when the Ramapo College Foundation holds its 2nd Annual Ramapo Rumble. The event will kick off on the Ramapo College campus, and riders will cover a 90 mile course on the beautiful scenic roads of Northern New Jersey. There are four stopping points along the way for refreshments and to pick up additional poker cards. There will be a picnic lunch for riders, families and friends on the Bandshell Lawn on the College’s campus, which will feature live music by the DRG Band. For riders, there will be exhibits featuring motorcycle manufacturers and dealers, and clothing and accessories companies. The event’s steering committee is composed of individuals from the business, legal and education communities as well as others who enjoy the freedom of the open road. Members are Chairman Rick DeSilva, Rick DeSilva, Jr., John Brewster ‘75, Randall Brewster and Jonathan Marcus ‘93 of Mahwah, NJ, Robert Hiden of Mamaroneck, NY, Doreen Janes of Lyndhurst, NJ, David Hackett of South Plainfield, NJ, Larry Inserra of Franklin Lakes, NJ and Lisa Ryan of Towaco, NJ. The event raises funds for student scholarships and undergraduate research programs. The Ramapo Rumble is an initiative of the Ramapo College Foundation, whose mission is to "provide the resources that make the difference in Ramapo College's quest for educational excellence." The Ramapo Rumble will take place Saturday, September 24, rain or shine. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $25 for riders and $15 for passengers.
