NOTES: Majors must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in all contract courses and in all upper-division courses. At least
four units of upper-division contract courses must be completed at Puget Sound (one of these four units may be taken as
part of a study abroad program, subject to prior approval by the student's contract committee). Contracts will normally
include CSCI 161, 261, 281. A grade of C- or better is required in all prerequisite courses in Math and Computer
Science.

Students majoring in Computer Science should consider taking MATH 180/181.
Students pursuing the contract option must include two proof-based or writing courses among their upper
division choices, and may use one course outside computer science with advisor approval. Students pursuing
the standard major option must include CSCI 361, two units of related upper division courses and one proofbased or writing course in addition to CSCI 361.
