2012 Transferable Courses
CLARK COLLEGE
Clark College courses that are similar to Puget Sound
courses numbered at the 100 or 200 level are
generally transferable. However, as transfer evaluations are
done in the context of each student's academic program, it is
possible for an evaluation to include courses not listed in this
guide as well as to exclude courses that are listed. Therefore,
students are encouraged to seek the advice of the Puget
Sound Office of Admission in selecting transfer courses,
especially those students who have selected a major. A
maximum of 96 quarter credits may be transferred, and all
courses are evaluated on a course-by-course basis.
Students should use the course listings in conjunction with the
Clark College 2011-2012 Course Catalog and the University
of Puget Sound Bulletin 2011-2012 . This guide is
effective for the 2012 calendar year only and will be honored
until 2014.
This guide has two lists, one for courses that transfer as
university Core requirements and one for transferable courses
in general. Note any courses that must be taken in
combination in order to transfer. If the combination is not
completed, separate courses may not transfer. Students are
therefore advised to complete a sequence of courses, rather
than just one or two quarters (for example, students studying
Calculus should complete MATH& 151, 152, and 153 rather
than just MATH& 151 and 152).
placement, transfer credit may be adjusted and a student
required to complete appropriate courses in residence.
NOTE: These listings apply to regular course offerings
completed by regular college students. Courses offered in
other formats, such as programmed-learning, challenge
examination, distance-learning, online, or telecourses, may not
be transferable. Additionally, college credit earned prior to high
school graduation is subject to evaluation using both the high
school and college transcripts.
Because curriculum revisions may occur during the year, all
announcements are subject to change without notice. This
document does not create a contract between the university
and any student or community college.
Students with transfer credit questions should contact the
Office of Admission at 253.879.3211 or 800.396.7191.
