Students will not be allowed on the bus unless this form is on file in advance and payment has been made. 2016 NIJO Tour Information 1. Please arrive promptly to load the bus and Blain’s Farm and Fleet in Cedar Falls. 2. Please bring a sack lunch for our noon meal at the park. We will eat dinner at the Pizza Ranch for the evening meal. The cost of your meal is included in the trip fee. Snacks and drinks will be provided for the morning and afternoon break. 3. Dress for the trip: White blouse, shirt or sweater and black slacks or skirt. Ladies: Skirt should be long enough to cover your knees when you sit. Please plan to wear this when you arrive in the morning until the end of our last performance. We will not have space or time to change before our performances or during lunch. There will be time to change before our last activity at the final park. WEAR APPROPRIATE SHOES for our outdoor activities--no open-toed sandals shoes, please! Bring appropriate clothes or jacket for the weather that day. Bring old shoes that you do not mind getting dirty. The parks may be muddy! 4. Our schedule is outlined briefly on the preceding page. performances. Please ask Cathy for school addresses. 5. Remember, the student is responsible for getting excused from their classes that day and making up any work missed. Schools will be notified of your absence but the parents must verify their permission for you to miss school. An OPTIONAL attendance office permission slip for you to use for this is included with this information. 6. We will need for the morning and afternoon. Specific students are on the treat list for these items. (Avery, Krisha, Bhoomika, Jacob—let me know what you prefer to bring-morning treats, bottled water, juice, or afternoon treats.) Family members may come to any of the Parent volunteers will accompany the orchestra and help with loading, unloading, set-up and take down, and serving donated treats. Parents- Mrs. Yoder and Ms. Sihler are planning to travel with the students as well as Mr. Schilke and Cathy Craig. 7. Please remember to exhibit your best behavior. Parents should discuss appropriate behavior with their students. Students who need to be reminded of what appropriate behavior is on the trip will not be invited to join the orchestra next year. We expect cooperation and respect for all, including other orchestra members, director, parents, our schools and students, bus, bus driver, park rangers and park facilities and restaurant and staff. What we do on this trip will determine if we get to go next year. We have been well received on our past trips. 8. This student understands it is his/her responsibility to communicate with teachers and make up any missed assignments.
