From a stage in DG Agriculture to living, studying, working in the United States (for instance the European-American Business Council) and the United Kingdom (at the LSE and JP Morgan), I have been exposed to different cultures and working in different team structures. These experiences have given me a solid understanding of cultural differences and ways of solving these differences in a team environment. From playing team sports to working in teams at universities or in business, having a multi-cultural background has facilitated better communication and consequently outcomes. At University, I was also co-chairman of the Cultural Exchange Circle, a governing body of cultural student organisations in the Boston area. ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCES Coordination and administration of people, projects and budgets; at work, in voluntary work (for example culture and sports) and at home, etc. TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCES With computers, specific kinds of equipment, machinery, etc. The organisation and coordination of people and projects are essential components of my work at RAND Europe and in my previous position at Reggeborgh, where I worked on a project by project basis. I also learnt a lot about effective communication through my position as an occasional teacher at the London School of Economics, where I was a class teacher for a year. Computer literate in Microsoft Office package, experience in programming languages such as Pascal, statistical packages such as SPSS, Minitab, and other packages such as Endnote and Frontpage among others DRIVING LICENCE(S) Yes (B) Page 3 - Curriculum vitae of [ van Stolk, RAND Europe ] For more information go to www.cedefop.eu.int/transparency www.europa.eu.int/comm/education/index_en.html www.eurescv-search.com ANNEXES Page 4 - Curriculum vitae of [ van Stolk, RAND Europe ] RELEVANT PAPERS/PROJECTS: Van Stolk C (2012), “Active age management at a time of economic restructuring: executive Summary”, Eurofound forthcoming van Stolk, C., Staetsky, L., Kim, C-W, Hassan, E.
