Johnny Test

Anywhere, NC 28716
Dear Johnny:
After careful review of your application to the Graduate School, you have been
admitted as indicated below:
Program: Non-Degree no concentration
Program Type:
Status: Non-degree
Effective Term: Spring 2013
Student ID:
Advisor:
Legal Residency:
Condition(s):
This admission is for non-degree. Please be aware that students admitted to the
Graduate School as non-degree seeking students are not eligible to receive
financial aid. Once students complete any missing requirements and are admitted
as degree-seeking students, federal aid can be awarded. Federal aid can be
awarded during the semester that the status changes. Non-degree students may
request to become degree students by submitting the appropriate Graduate School
form and all required documents.
Some programs allow non-degree students to take one or more graduate courses
for self-improvement or exploration of graduate degree program offerings.
However, a program may restrict enrollment into classes to degree-seeking
students within their program. Check with the program director or academic
department to determine if a class allows non-degree students to be enrolled.
Non-degree graduate students who wish to be considered for admission into a
graduate degree program may do so by notifying the Graduate School in writing of
the request and submitting to the Graduate School all documents required by the
program. Students should be aware that work completed in a non-degree status
does not necessarily apply towards a degree, nor does being allowed to take
courses imply acceptance into a degree program. If a student has taken courses in
non-degree status and is later formally admitted as a degree candidate, the
program may require additional coursework. Admission as a non-degree graduate
student does not guarantee admission into a graduate degree program.
- Distance program students and part-time resident-program students will be
charged the tuition and fees associated with the classification of each individual
course section (resident tuition and fees for resident courses or distance tuition
and fees for distance courses.)

- Full-time resident-program students will be charged their full-time rate regardless
of the combination of resident and distance course sections.
Please note that the degree requirements, academic regulations, and Graduate
School procedures governing your program of study are those in the Graduate
Catalog at the time of your initial registration, or those of a later catalog. Failure to
read the Graduate Policies and Procedures as well as the requirements in the
Graduate Catalog does not excuse a student from the requirements and
regulations contained therein.

May we extend to you our best wishes for success in your graduate studies.
Sincerely,
