Duplex Printing
Duplex printing, the ability to print on both sides of one piece of paper, is now available from
Student Computers.
All printers in the Library can print in Duplex.
In PCLAB4 you can only print in Duplex on the Black and White printer (STU005).
You are charged per side that is sent to the printer with a discount of 40% for printing in Duplex.
So a two page black and white print costs 10p if you print it on 2 pieces of paper, or 6p if you print
it on one piece of paper using Duplex. For more information on prices please see the table
overleaf.
To print in Duplex select print from the menu of the application you are working in, you will see the
window below (this might differ depending on what application you are using):
Click on Properties
to choose Duplex
printing.
Once you have clicked on Properties you will see the following window:
Choose the appropriate Duplex option
from ‘Print on both sides’.
Either ‘flip over’ or ‘flip up’ depending on
how you wish the page to be bound.
