2013 ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT CEREMONY

The 2013 Herbert Wortreich Award winner is CAROL PARKER.
Also the SSHS outstanding student in Social Work, Carol is a member of Phi Alpha and
the Golden Key International Honor Societies, as well as the Social Work and Ramapo
Readers clubs. She participated at the Social Policy Symposium at Rutgers and was
part of a group presentation at the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC)
advocacy for passage by the United States.
Today, we are also presenting Carol with this year’s National Association of Social Work
Award. The NASW scholarship award will help her achieve her goal to attend Graduate
School to pursue a Master’s degree in Social Work.
