Research Interests
I am an archaeologist and a skeletal analyst. My primary research interests include dental
anthropology, biological distance analysis, population movement and interaction,
paleopathology and physiology, mortuary practices, social memory and landscape,
culturally modified human bone, and social and skeletal indicators of violence. My
dissertation examined dental metrics and discrete traits as a proxy for population genetics
in investigations of migration within and between indigenous Americans in the North
American Midwest.
