Product Explanation Sheet
Where’s Ono?
I will design a dog house using parallel, perpendicular and
intersecting lines.
Meet Ono, the soft-coated Wheaton Terrier.
He loves life and his buddy Terra.
Ono is the newest addition to the family and is in need of a well-designed doghouse.
Decide if you want to complete the project on paper or on the computer.
(Note: Your teacher may tell you which one to do.)
The doghouse must have at least:
- 3 examples of parallel lines;
- 3 examples of perpendicular lines;
- 3 examples of intersecting lines.
To Complete the Dog House by Hand
Step 1: Sketch your dog house
Step 2: Using a ruler, draw the view from the
front
Step 3: Using a ruler, draw the view from the
side
Step 4: Using a ruler, draw the view from the
back
Step 5: Identify the different types of lines
To Complete the Dog House on Computer
Step 1: Use a program of your choice to draw
the dog house (word, power point, etc.)
Step 2: Draw the view from the front
Step 3: Draw the view from the side
Step 4: Draw the view from the back
Step 5: Identify the different types of lines
To identify the different lines, you must:
- Use 3 different colors to identify the Parallel lines
- Circle where the Perpendicular lines intersect
- Draw a square around where the Intersecting lines intersect
Refer back to the evaluation rubric to make sure you have completed the product.
