Product Explanation Sheet Kapa Design Analysis I will identify and describe several types of triangles and quadrilaterals in kapa designs. *You may choose to complete the table below on the computer or by hand. 1. Look carefully at the kapa designs on step 9. 2. Choose 1-2 polygons on each slide. 3. Sketch the polygon(s) in the appropriate box. 4. Identify the most specific type of polygon and write why you think it is this polygon. 5. *You must find at least one of each of the following polygons. Check them off as you go. The 9 polygons are: triangles: _scalene triangle _isosceles triangle _equilateral triangle quadrilaterals: _quadrilateral _trapezoid _parallelogram _rectangle _square _rhombus 6. You might need to go back to find shapes you are missing. Remember, it is okay to have more than one polygon per slide. Slide # Example from Slide 1 1. 2. 3. Sketch- if using Word, select AutoShapes at bottom of screen to create shape. What polygon is it and why? Isosceles triangle- It has three sides: two are equal in length. 4. 5. 6. Now, it’s your turn! Design your own kapa pattern using your favorite triangles and quadrilaterals.
