TheTPPCconvenedanImplementationTaskForce(ITF),comprisedoffaculty,administrative leadership,representedstaff,andstudents.Thetaskforceadoptedthefollowingguiding principles: MaintainaDistrictwidefocusforeachInitiative Majority,notconsensusindecision‐making RepresentativesexpectedtocommunicatewiththeCollegesandbringfeedback Considerprioritizationsforneedandnotavailablefunds Theplanincludesinitiativesthatareinvariousstagesofimplementation,andthosethatare expectedtobesequencedoverthenextfiveyearsasappropriateresourcesbecomeavailable.The planemphasizesbringingallcollegestoacommonbaselineleveloftechnologywithastable infrastructureanduseofenterprisetechnologiesforaconsistentstudentexperience.Italso focusesondecisionsnotoninitialcosts,butconsideringtheTotalcostofownership. ThefinaldraftdocumentwasapprovedbytheTPPConMarch21,2013.Theplanisnowbeing presentedtotheBoardofTrusteesforconsideration. TheTechnologyStrategicPlandocumentwitha2020horizonwasusedtocreatethis Implementationplanwithmetricstogaugesuccess.Theplanprioritizesdeploymentofvarious capabilitiesasresourcesbecomeavailable,andisalivingdocumentthatwillbereviewedand updatedperiodically,andreassessedinfiveyears.Thisplanwillinformtheindividualcollege technologyplansandserveasaguidetoensureacommonbasestandardofconnectednessacross thecollegesforaconsistentstudentexperience. TheTPPCconvenedanImplementationTaskForce(ITF),comprisedoffaculty,administrative leadership,representedstaff,andstudents.Thetaskforcecreatedtwosub‐groupsthatcouldfocus oncreatingcombinedprioritiesforthefivekeyareas,whichwereassignedtothem: Teaching,andLearning Productivity,Assessment,andInfrastructure Thesub‐groupsconsideredtheirassignedkeyareasandcreatedobjectivesforeach“Plan”action. Anoverviewofthe“TechnologyStrategicPlan‐Vision2020”wasjointlydiscussedtofamiliarizeall participantswiththeplan,expectationsandchallenges.Allparticipantswereencouragedtoreview theplanpriortothegroupmeetings.DuringthegroupmeetingstheTechPlanAction“Objectives” weredevelopedbasedonthefollowingguidingprinciples: MaintainaDistrictwidefocusforeachInitiative Majority,notconsensusindecision‐making RepresentativesexpectedtocommunicatewiththeCollegesandbringfeedback Considerprioritizationsforneedandnotavailablefunds Inadditionacommunicationplanwasdevelopedtokeepthecommunicationflowingbetweenthe groups,theDistrict,andtheColleges. Onceall“Objectives”wereprioritizedbythesub‐groups,theywerethenconsideredcollectivelyby theITFtodiscussandcreateanoverallprioritylist.Aseriesofreviewmeetingswereheldto finalizesequencing,andassignmetricsforObjectivesthatarein‐progress,andthosethatare desiredforimplementationoverthenextfiveyears.Thefinaldraftdocumentisbeingpresentedto theTPPCforconsideration.UponacceptancebytheTPPC,itwillbecirculatedwithinthe governancestructure,beforebeingpresentedtotheBoardofTrusteesforconsideration.
