The next spaces you come to are the Group Study Rooms.

The group study rooms may be set up as one big room, or the screen may be put across to create two smaller rooms.

The furniture is usually set up in meeting / boardroom style, but you are free to rearrange furniture.
As one room the Group Study
Rooms seat 20 around a table, or 36 with chairs in rows.
The separate rooms seat 12 around a table or 18-20 with chairs in rows.

Both group study rooms have
PCs on the medsch and NHS networks, and a DVD/VHS player connected to ceiling mounted projectors.

The computers in Group Study Room 1 are set up on desks along the wall, for less formal use of the projector or to facilitate group work.
Students may book the Group Study Rooms for group work.

The Group Study Rooms have a moveable whiteboard.
Flip charts are also available.

The final bookable space on the first floor is the Seminar Room.

A Panaboard is available in this room. This works like a normal whiteboard but allows you to print whatever you have written on the board.
A UCL/medsch PC and an NHS PC project onto a large touchscreen.
NB The screen can only be used as a touchscreen from the UCL/medsch PC.
The Seminar Room can seat up to 20 people.

The visualiser can be used to display something small, eg. a
Petri dish, on the large screen so the class can see it clearly.

Other equipment available includes:
• A webcam
• Teleconferencing equipment
• iPads and Galaxy tablets
Our in-house Technical Support Officer manages the equipment and can arrange installation of any special software you require, subject to licence requirements.

Moving to the first floor of the library, the first spaces you come to are the Small and Large
TESAs (Training & Electronic Study Area).
UCL LIBRARY SERVICES
As one big space the TESA has 41 PCs plus a trainer’s PC at either end. The screen in the Small TESA can be linked up to the computer in the Large TESA so you can have the screen displaying at both ends of the room.

A screen may be used to split the TESA into two spaces, with
15 and 26 computers. The computers are on the Medsch network with links out to NHS citrix and UCL cluster WTS.

Our teaching spaces are located on the lower ground and first floors.
