Showcase of face to face library skills training: Find out about the information skills training and support the library can provide to students and how we can tailor it to your individual course or students’ needs.
10.00 – 10.55 Online assessment to enhance learning : How do you design online assessment activities? Short answers, single best answers, video, audio, there are many options. (See website for further information)
10.55 - 11.05 Break: Includes an opportunity to browse our rolling presentations and printed material on the library’s services to support teaching, or join a tour of the library’s teaching spaces and facilities.
11.05 – 12.00 E-assessment: ELE present an exploration of the various types of e-assessment tools available, including details of how these are supported at UCL. (See website for further information)
12.00 – 12.30 AnswersIn Medicine: A project begun in 2007 to deliver a high standard of core lectures in medicine across campuses, allowing the session with the expert to be devoted to problem solving. This session will demonstrate the development of AnswersIn Medicine from a flash based online multimedia delivery platform to one which includes self-assessment and mobile Apps.
12.30 – 12.50
Reading lists and digital readings: Learn about the library’s reading list service and how we can digitise material to include in reading lists.
12.50 – 13.00 Close: Dr Paul Dilworth, Site Sub Dean and Consultant Physician
13.00 – 13.10 Library spaces and teaching: A showcase of spaces and equipment at the Royal Free Library and how these can be utilised by teaching staff to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
13.10 – 14.00
Tours of the library’s teaching spaces and facilities plus an opportunity to browse our rolling presentations and printed material on the library’s services to support teaching. Library staff will be available to answer questions.
