Ensuring Courses in the CCC Curriculum Inventory
matches our local systems
1. Review the courses used by your college against those in the State
inventory. Any courses that are missing or improperly entered must be
corrected.
2. Create/Modify your course using the CCC Curriculum Inventory (see screen
shot below)

3. To get a CB number for a new course,
or to change information attached to
a current CB number, you will need to use the appropriate form.
4. When filling out the form, be sure that you use the appropriate number of
spaces for your course. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Incorrect spacing will cause
the system to reject your course. See samples below:
Above is where you will enter the course ID, you have 12 spaces.
See Below for a guidline
You must use the Proper District Abbreviation
USE ALL CAPITAL LETTERS!!!
Even if your course is shorter, you must use up all the spaces in the box on
the form. For example, you would enter Accounting 1 as:
Name
A C C
T G
Number
Letter
0 0 1
Or, you would enter Vocational Education 101CE as:
Name
V O C
E D
Number
Letter
1 0 1 C E
Be sure that you follow these guidelines. Courses entered at the State which are not the same as the
courses in Protocol will result in rejected MIS uploads. Unless corrected, these rejections can result in a
loss of apportionment to the college.
