Convene regular meeting Action-Item Meeting started at 2:05 PM STANDING TASK FORCE/CIO REPORT 2. Apple Presentation Tim Parker, Sr. Systems Engineer and Bill Bowman, Regional Continued discussion with Manager from Apple. They met with DTC last week. In the various committees past, individual colleges had relationships with Apple, we are now looking at a district contract that would include certification, professional development (for classified and faculty) and support. There was discussion about being able to train IA’s who work with students in labs. Free seminar services in such areas as: podcasting, how to integrate technology into curriculum, and specifics to different disciplines. Also, we would get a direct line resource to Apple There was some discussion about accessibility and ADA requirements and the committee was told that accessibility components are built into all MAC products and that they are certified screen readers. 3. Tech Master Plan Changed name to Strategic Taskforce. Planned a meeting for updateJune 29, 1-3 PM for all interested members and then we implementation would break up into smaller groups and set up schedule for Taskforce meetings. Meetings will be virtual except for once a month in person. 4. District will give coding to each college and if they want to use, they can. They will be responsible for implementing Searchable Database Albert showed a demo of the searchable database. Each college will get the link to put on their college site. Some screen shots will be sent out to TPPC members who attended via ccc confer. The search indicates full and open sections. There is one issue with determining all online courses. They are supposed to be coded as 72 and all colleges have been notified to code them this way so that searchable database can easily pull their information based on the top code of 72 2
