September 13 there will be a meeting with the evaluation team Freezing all changes to legacy system. Will give all energy to new system. Extended warranty of the new system can be purchased for 3-5 years. Can only be purchased when we get SIS. After that it will fall under operational costs. Also looking at Project Manager for new SIS who will be a fulltime LACCD employee and consultant who will be joined by managers from the chosen SIS company to work with him. Apple Contract Update NEW BUSINESS Desktop Conferencing Emergency text system Webinar this morning licensing structure based on FTE – Each campus will decide who is using the master or design premium. Will reduce Adobe cost district wide Will be going to Valley and City Colleges to do initial training for IT staff. Also scheduling trainings with faculty at a City school and Valley School Faculty should be able to attend meetings like TPPC via desktop conferencing. this system appears to not be working as well as it should as when the incident happened at district, no one received a text to come in or not come into work. Many of the colleges have purchased additional systems – blackboard connected and use this system. 2 Individual colleges have
