Convene regular meeting Action-Item 2.04 PM meeting started STANDING TASK FORCE/CIO REPORT 2. Tech Master Plan Two groups have been meeting weekly. All complete with updateprioritization and done with objectives. Update of Measure J Jorge sent everyone a copy of the presentation Technology Program Projects in progress • Physical Security – access cards, access readers • Plant Maintenance/work orders/CMMS Scheduled to be piloted at Mission sometime in summer – Andy Duran project manager • Student email (Live@edu) – students will be live by Fall 2012. All colleges will have to upgrade to Exchange 2010 to communicate with students. By Spring of 2013 hoping to have all adjunct on this email system. • Student ID Management – Project Manager on board. All faculty will have to change their passwords for SIS – but we will be able to self regulate/change their passwords • Three new master agreements approved at last board meeting – Dell (servers and Data Storage) and EMC (Data Storage) There are agreements in process – video conferencing, lecture capture, av control (etc…) Hard bids – projectors, sound amplification, flat panels, document cameras, projection screens • Standards being created – media labs, enterprise content management systems, enterprise help desk, technology training, access cards, access card readers, security cameras and software project acceptance • Technology Training – server virtualization training being organized • End of Technology Project Coordinators assigned to the Colleges – funds were available for a total of 36 months per college. All colleges will be done by end of 2012 • Moratorium – connectLACCD (fiber optic project for colleges) is on hold SIS Board members approved going forward with negotiations. Negotiating terms and conditions and no wiggle room that the terms we are being guaranteed will stay guaranteed. Hoping to get something to board in April. Will start within 30 days of board approval. DTC Update Reviewed the necessity to have IT certifications for certain IT jobs. DTC motioned to approve that IT certifications were required. We reviewed an email upgrade at East LA college, lessons learned, technical details, etc. Discussing how we will be maintaining our critical devices such as our Firewalls. A change calendar on when critical systems would be updated. OLD BUSINESS 6. Searchable Database West may be having summer – East will be having summer – Pierce no online for summer – Is supposed to up and running for summer registration which is April 7. ADA Compliance of Pierce has ordered software and waiting for it to arrive. Once college/district we see how it works, will recommend to other colleges. websites 8. Student enrollment Nothing new on this – Some colleges do daily downloads of verification for database. library NEW BUSINESS 9.
